This is one of my favorite photos because my friends Patty and boyfriend Lamine threw me a birthday party in Dakar the day I got home from Addis Ababa... even though I look happy- I was suffering from altitude sickness and dehydration that turned into a horrible chest infection... nonetheless, canceling my party wasn't an option! :)
